Bri is an outdoor enthusiast who has been blessed to work and serve the last two decades in camp & retreat ministry.She has a "challenge accepted” attitude, call to empower children and share her love of God’s creation with them.
Bri has a degree in Media Studies in Electronic Newsgathering & Documentary from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a certificate in Non-Profit Business Management from the University of Tennessee and a certificate in Outdoor Ministries from Columbia Seminary. She is a member of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church, represents camps in Tennessee on the American Camp Association (ACA) Regional Board, has served on the Maryville College Board of Church Visitors and serves on the Board of the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association (PCCCA).
Bri’s sidekicks are Zip, Snap, & Indi her two dogs and cat and sometimes a foster dog, as she is a foster home for the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association (ACDRA).And of course, Shine the Animal Ambassador opossum.She is a volunteer and officer in the Roane County Rescue Squad and has completed over 30 Spartan Races.
Returning to East Tennessee after a brief stint in Omaha, Nebraska, Ryan Hughes is leaving corporate america to answer the call to ministry here at John Knox Center as the Program Director.
Ryan graduated with a degree in Accounting from Carson Newman University. While at Carson Newman, Ryan acquired a certification to scuba dive. In his down time Ryan enjoys anything that can be done on a white water river. Ryan is excited to return to John Knox and continue to the ministry that has graced East Tennessee for nearly sixty years.
