Bri is an outdoor enthusiast blessed to work and serve for the last two decades in camp & retreat ministry. She has a "challenge accepted” attitude, calling to empower children and share her love of God’s creation with them.
Bri has a degree in Media Studies in Electronic Newsgathering & Documentary from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a certificate in Non-Profit Business Management from the University of Tennessee, and a certificate in Outdoor Ministries from Columbia Seminary. She is a member of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church, has served as a representative for camps in Tennessee on the American Camp Association (ACA) Regional Board, has served on the Maryville College Board of Church Visitors, and served on the Board of the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association (PCCCA).
Bri has a Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog named Snap and is a foster home for the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association (ACDRA). She has volunteered with the Roane County Rescue Squad for over 20 years and served as an Officer for many of those years. She has completed over 30 Spartan Races and many other obstacle course races.
River Ridge Administrator
Becky has served this ministry since 2012 primarily supporting our River Ridge Environmental Education Program. Becky works closely with our schools before they arrive onsite to make sure they are set up for a great experience. You will often get to chat with Becky if you call the camp office or inquire about bringing a school group. Becky is from Kingston, TN, and lives with her husband Ken & son Connor. Becky loves animals, coffee, & reading.
Registrar & Guest Group Reservations
Penny has served many years at several Presbyterian camps in various program areas and most recently as the Program Director at John Knox Center (2012-2019). She now works primarily remotely as our Summer Camp registrar and works closely with our Guest Groups scheduling their events and needs while onsite. Penny is originally from Colorado and lives in Knoxville, TN with her husband Weston who is also a John Knox camp alumni. They own 865 Axe Throwing in Knoxville, TN.
Maintenance & Guest Services
Matthew grew up coming to camp as a camper here and has served on staff since 2021. He has served on seasonal staff at both Montreat & Massanetta, both Presbyterian conference centers. Matthew is from Knoxville, TN, and is a member of West Emory Presbyterian Church. He has a serious sweet tooth & loves cats.
