Elly Knight

Program Director
elly@johnknoxcenter.org

Elly is from the small town of Orrum, NC, and has worked in the outdoors since 2019. She has served as a camp counselor, outdoor educator, program specialist, and wilderness therapy instructor at camps in North Carolina and California, and has now made her way to Tennessee.  Elly comes to us most recently from being on staff at Chestnut Ridge and Camp Don Lee, both United Methodist sites. She's a huge fan of hiking, camping, group games, The Lord of the Rings, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Elly believes that camp is very important because it's a place made for everyone to feel safe, loved, and accepted while experiencing the love of God, growing in their faith, learning skills they will use throughout the rest of their lives, and trying new things that they otherwise may not have had the opportunity to try.
