Pricing

The following services and materials are included:
• Planning Guide with all forms, worksheets, letters, etc. for teachers, students and parents.
• Power-point presentation on a flash drive provided upon request to help you prepare your parents and students.
• Complete schedule of classes and activities for your stay will be provided upon arrival.
• Equipment and materials used in classes. Additional fees may apply.
• Instructional staff to teach all classes and all evening programs.
• Lodging, meals, and snacks
 

Overnight Programming Fees

2 day/1 night
(Includes 4 meals, up to 5 classes, 1 evening program, 1 snack, t-shirt)
$100 per student, $60 per chaperone 

3 day/2 night
(Includes 6 meals, 7 classes, 2 evening programs, 2 snacks, t-shirt)
$145 per student, $65 per chaperone
 
4 day/3 night
(Includes 9 meals, 11 classes, 3 evening program, 3 snacks, t-shirt)
$190 per student, $85 per chaperone
 
 5 day/4 night
(Includes 12 meals, 15 classes, 4 evening programs, 4 snacks, t-shirt)
$230 per student,  $125 per chaperone 
 
Adult Fees for Overnight ProgrammingEach group must provide one adult chaperone per every 7 students. Chaperones within the 1:7 ratio are charged the above chaperone fee based on the length of their stay. As a "Thank You” for planning this trip, two teachers stay FREE, t-shirt included.  Adults over the 1:7 ratio will be billed at the student rate.
 
Additional Classes and Meals:
Class Session: $5 per student, unless otherwise indicated
Materials fee: $3 per students taking Campfire Gourmet, Pioneer Fair or Pioneer
Additional Meal: $8 per person
Sack Lunch: $6 per person

 
*A non-refundable deposit of $100 per day and signed contract are required to secure your dates and lock in your fees. Please send your contract and deposit as soon as possible. Balance of fees is due upon arrival at the Center. Please make checks payable to: John Knox Center.  Dates are not reserved until deposit and contract are received. Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance will result in the school being billed 50% of the estimated bill. Prices are subject to change until the contract and deposit are received.

Day Trip Programming Fees
 
Fees for Day Programs (Includes up to 5 hours of instructional time):
 
Groups over 40 students: $20.00 per student
Groups of 25 - 40 students: $22.00 per student
Groups of under 25 students: $24.00 per student
Chaperones over the 1:7 ratio: Student fee based on size of group
Teachers:  No charge
Sack Lunch: $6.00 per person
T-Shirt: $10.00 per person
Materials fee for Campfire Gourmet, Pioneer Fair and Pioneer Days: $3 per student, per class 
 
Note: River Ridge requires one adult chaperone for every 7 students for a day trip. Chaperones within the 1:7 ratio will not be charged. Chaperones above the 1:7 ratio will be charged the student fee based on the size of the group.
 
If time does not permit 4 classes to be taken, we will work with you to customize a daily schedule. Please remember, in order to ensure the quality of our classes, they cannot be shortened to less than 45 minutes.

Outreach Programs: We Come to You! 
Bring the fun and discovery of River Ridge to your school. Most of our academic and team building classes can be adapted to your school’s setting. Start your year with team building or preview the types of activities they will be doing when they arrive at River Ridge to get them and their parents excited about outdoor experiential learning. Invite us to your school within a 2 hour radius for 65.5 cents per mile. Call our office for more information.
 
Day Program (Three 1 hour sessions) $10 per student (plus travel costs)
One Class Session (1 ½ hrs) $5 per student (plus travel costs)
Assembly Format Program, Limited Hands-on Experience (1 hour) $2 per student (plus travel costs)
 
*A non-refundable deposit of $2 per person (up to $100) and signed contract for outreach trips is required to secure your dates and lock in your fees. Balance of fees is due upon arrival at your facility.

This schedule is flexible - groups can arrive earlier or later, stay for lunch on the last day, add more classes, etc. We will work with you to design a program and schedule that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.
