The
Nature Center at River Ridge is enthusiastic about learning. We are happy to
work with our local homeschool community to design the best programs to benefit
students’ current curriculum. Experiential learning, hands-on, and fun; that is
what we do! We will offer monthly Engage & Explore events in the Spring and
Fall of 2025 for local homeschool co-ops and groups to register for. These will
be listed below when we offer them. Should local co-ops and groups not be able
to make these events, or have specific curriculum to request, or have their own
group they'd like to book a program for, we would be happy to accommodate!
These sessions will have a minimum group cost per session of 75, with some
courses requiring a higher minimum which we’ll be happy to discuss with you.
This is an inquiry-based approach to advanced experiential
learning concepts. Open to ages 6-14, we will have themed games and courses
with hands-on learning with the nature center animals. Parents/ Chaperones are strongly
encouraged to stay with their children. These will be hosted at convenient
times for the homeschool families or groups. We recommend students wear
closed-toe shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.
