Since 1960, John Knox Center has offered a Christ-centered program for Day and Overnight campers. That's more than 64 years of experience in providing dynamic, safe, and meaningful youth programming. When it comes to Summer Camp, we got this. It's what we do best.

The camp experience is designed so campers:

Explore, grow in, and act on their Christian faith
Build Christ-centered communities
Live in, live with, learn about, and care for God’s Creation
Develop skills in outdoor living
Understand and practice servant leadership
Safely experience fun, fellowship, adventure, and challenge
At summer camp, opportunities abound for making new friends, learning, and practicing outdoor living skills, developing individual talents and leadership abilities, taking responsibility for and care of God's world, forming lifelong bonds, and having barrels of fun!

We believe that everyone can benefit from a camp experience and we are all God’s children. Camp is a place for everyone. John Knox Center does not discriminate based on race, gender, color, gender expression, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. EVERYONE has a place at CAMP. We welcome, affirm, and support young people and adults of all abilities and disabilities, experiences, races, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, citizenship or immigration status, religion and non-religion, and any other category people use to define themselves or others. We hire staff who fit within this community.
We pride ourselves on meeting and exceeding the camping industry’s accepted standards and best practices for safety and program quality for both summer programs and year-round operations. Signaling our commitment to excellence in camping, John Knox Center is accredited by the American Camp Association. Nationally, only 1 camp in 5 can say that. And get this… we have maintained our accreditation consistently since 1998! Our food service and dining facility consistently received excellent marks on our Tennessee State Health Department inspection. Our entire ropes course is inspected by a 3rd party certified inspector and permitted annually by the State of Tennessee Amusement Device Division and our Nature Center and Animal Ambassadors are inspected and permitted annually by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency!  We strive to hold ourselves to the highest standards of safety to ensure your child has a wonderful safe experience.
