Day Camp Sessions [Home Page]

Realizing that families have different abilities and resources to pay for summer camp, John Knox Center is utilizing a voluntary three-tiered pricing program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family.  It is a “free-will” system; you pick the level that is comfortable and affordable for you.  Our goal in introducing tiered pricing is simple.  We want to continue to provide Christ centered programming in a safe, welcoming and fun environment, while offering opportunities for partnership for those who value this ministry and wish to help preserve John Knox Center for generations to come.

Tier I – The lowest subsidized rate John Knox Center has historically offered. This price does not reflect what it costs for a camper to attend summer camp.

Tier II – A partially subsidized rate for families who wish to pay a little more and help support the John Knox Center ministry, but cannot afford the full price of camp.

Tier III – The rate which most closely reflects what it costs for a camper to attend John Knox Center, including facility upkeep, staffing, utilities, and equipment.

Critter Day Camp: Camp just for the day; everyday for a week! This session is for kids who love the camp experience, but just aren't ready to stay the night. Campers will spend extra time in the nature center, working hands-on with the turtles, lizards, frogs, and snakes that call our Nature Center home. Campers will also enjoy all the camp activities. We encourage parents to carpool with other families each day. A low camper to counselor ratio ensures each child gets plenty of personal attention.

June 12 - 16

Tier 1: $150 Tier 2: $195 Tier 3: $250

Native Ways Day Camp: An American Indian themed camp, where you will learn and play like natives. Camp just for the day; everyday for a week! This session is for kids who love the camp experience, but just aren't ready to stay the night. Step back in time to learn "Native Ways". John Knox is home to three Native American mounds and a wealth of history. Campers will enjoy Indian themed games and activities, face painting, crafts and songs. Build a shelter for your tribe and learn how Native people lived in harmony with their surroundings. We encourage parents to carpool with other families each day. A low camper to counselor ratio ensures each child gets plenty of personal attention.

July 10 - 14
