Join us for the 50 Anniversary Celebration Weekend September 17-19, 2010. We invite you to stay the weekend as we celebrate God's life changing power in this place.
There are several options for your family, congregation, or individuals to take part in the celebration. Come for the weekend and enjoy all the special activities, memories, meals and fun or join us for the day. Many of you will remember Nancy Carman and George Murray Jr. who will be celebrating this special weekend with us. There are details below on accommodations, meals and a full schedule of activities. This is not just a picnic, everything from special worship services, activities, and high quality meals will make this experience one you won't forget.
Overnight Accommodations
Dorm Rooms D1-D6 (6 rooms available/4 guests per room) Rate: $75 per room per night (Pro-rate if willing to share room.)
Cabins C4&C5 w/ bathrooms inside & A/C (8 guests per cabin) Rate:$100 per cabin per night (Pro-rate if willing to cabin.) Cabins C1, 2, & 3 w/ bathrooms in dorm & A/C (8 guests per cabin) Rate:$80 per cabin per night (Pro-rate if willing to share cabin.) Cabins A1-A5 & B1-B5 w/bathrooms nearby (8 guests per cabin) Rate: $40 per cabin per night (Pro-rate if willing to share cabin.) RV Parking (Limited space available; NO AMENITIES) Rate: $25 per RV per night
Tent Camping (Tent space on 2nd Peninsula with bathhouse & hot showers nearby) Rate: $6 per tent per night
Registration Reminders
*Please register only one cabin or dorm at a time. If multiple dorm rooms or cabins are needed, use multiple registrations forms. *If registrant is willing to share a dorm room or cabin, then lodging fee will be pro-rated downward. Please indicate this on the registration form under the Additional Comments box and adjust accommodation fees accordingly. * Lodging is on a First Come/First Served basis. *Registration payment is to be based upon lodging preference. Credit card will not be charged until lodging location is confirmed. If your preferred location is filled we will contact you via phone or email to select other accommodations.

Meals- This is more than just a picnic, we will be enjoying the very best from the JKC kitchen, including adult and kid friendly options. Food is an important aspect of this weekend and we will update with menu details in the coming weeks. Please check the meal times in the schedule below.
*We encourage you to purchase meals for each person in your group during the time of your stay at the event. Food and food preparation is not permitted in cabins or lodges. *Please note lunch on Sunday will NOT be just burgers and hot dogs, although we may have some available for children.
Weekend Activities
UT/ FLORIDA FOOTBALL TAILGATE PARTY-Watch the game and fellowship with friends in the pavilion! Hot dogs, burgers, and all the fixin's at half time make the experience complete as we cheer on the VOLS from our lawn chairs! We know that in East Tennessee football is important and we wouldn't want you to miss the game or the 50th Celebration. Come and enjoy BOTH!
High Ropes-Swing through the trees on our high ropes course including our popular Zip Line & Flying Squirrel elements! Children and adults both enjoy this high flying activity!
Archery -JKC staff will be on hand to help teach you to hit the bulls eye! Check out our new archery course built in the spring of 2010. Reminiscent of past camp years, we have brought back this staple of camp activities this summer. Our adjustable compound bows make it easy to learn for even the youngest children.
Waterfront Activities -Bring your swimsuit for fun in the sun! Swimming and canoeing will be available throughout the weekend and supervised by Waterfront Certified Lifeguards. Life jackets and paddles will be provided for canoe participants. Participants are encouraged to bring their personal boats for more fun on the lake. There may also be skiing and tubing.
Nature Center -Get up close with some friendly critters, including Percy the Possum and Monty Python. These along with a host of turtles, lizards, and other snakes help us teach children and adults about God's creation. Don't forget your camera!
Campfire S'more's-Roast marshmallows just like when you were a camper on Saturday night around the campfire. Tell your favorite camp stories and share memories from years past.
Disc Golf-Try your hand at the newest camp activity just installed this summer! Fun for adults and children, disc golf combines the fun of playing Frisbee with the skill of golf.
Music- Enjoy wonderful musical performances from bands ranging from contemporary christian to bluegrass! - Brandywine: Saturday @ 7pm: "bluegrass for everyone", a 3 piece bluegrass band that plays a little bit of everything, that everyone can enjoy! - Eye2Sky: Sunday @ 10am: a contemporary christian band will be providing the music for worship, you can find them at eye2skytheband.com - Mountain Cove: Sunday @ 2pm, an upcoming bluegrass band out of Signal Mountain that plays a mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass, find them at mountaincovebluegrass.com

Saturday, September 18th, 2010 8:30 a.m. - Continental Breakfast in Dining Hall 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. - Opening Worship Service at Pavilion 10:30 a.m. - Camp Activities begin (list of detailed activities above) Noon - Lunch in Dining Hall 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Camp Activities 3:30 -7:00 p.m. - UT/Florida Football Game Satellite Telecast at Pavilion Half-time (about 5:30 p.m.) - Tailgate Dinner at Pavilion 7:00 p.m Music @ Pavilion "Brandywine" 8:00 p.m. - Sundown Worship on Vesper Hill (Clyde & Gwen Baker) (bring own chair or beach towel) 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. - Evening Activities (Fire Circle & Pavilion)
